Measure the child, not the coat.
Unlike some of our brands, these are body measurements. Measure your child and match to the closest row. Height is the most reliable of the three.

How it fits
True to size, with enough room for a jumper underneath on a cold morning. If your child is at the top of a band, or you want a layer under it through winter, take the next size up.
There is no 6-7 in this range. If your child sits there, take the 7-8Y.
How to measure
Stand your child against a wall with no shoes on, heels touching, and measure height from the floor to the top of their head. Measure chest around the fullest part, usually just under the armpits, snug but not tight. Measure waist around the natural waistline, just above the hipbone, a little looser than the chest.
